Downtown Revitalization – We’re in it for the long haul!

“For the longest time, we all waited for a white knight to ride into town and fix the problem. But the Main Street people made us realize that the only way to get it done right was to do it ourselves.”
Russell Thomas, Mayor of Americus, Georgia

Revitalizing Springfield’s Downtown doesn’t happen overnight. It’s an ongoing process. And we need you to volunteer to help make it happen!

Our work is a mix of small and large undertakings, tangible results and subtle changes, and strategic planning and implementation. Volunteers help with the work of our 3 committees: Design, Economic Development, and Promotion.

We work with volunteers of all ages—young people are more than welcome! We collaborate with the River Valley Technical Center, community members, Springfield Garden Club, Springfield Senior Center, And All-4-One.
